Sushi Tech '26: Tokyo, Technology, and the Future

Last week, I was in Tokyo for SusHi Tech 2026 with my little sister Meo.
Looking around the event, meeting people from all over the world, and seeing how quickly technology is evolving was a reminder of how global the conversation around AI has become.
The most impressive thing wasn’t the scale of the event, massive, it was the people. For the first time, we were introduced to the Japanese market alongside the Meta Loop team.
Visitors were able to learn more about Meta Loop, explore Meo OS, and experience the vision behind MyTheo and MyMeo firsthand.
And the coolest thing, people weren’t simply asking what AI can do. They were asking how it can fit naturally into everyday life. How it can support people without overwhelming them. How technology can feel more human.
That’s exactly what we’re building toward.
I’ve always believed AI shouldn’t feel cold or complicated. It should feel intuitive. Helpful. Present when you need it, invisible when you don’t.
And honestly, Tokyo felt like the perfect place to have those conversations. There’s a unique balance there between innovation and intentionality. Everything feels advanced, but still deeply human at the same time.
Over the course of the event, I got to connect with people curious about the future of AI, share more about what we’re creating at Meta Loop, and see firsthand how excited people are for a more personal approach to technology.
Leaving Tokyo, I felt even more certain about where we’re heading, and even more excited about what comes next. This was only the beginning.
See you next year, Tokyo!
